This series of works, started in 2022, was inspired by listening to the new album Indigo by Kim Namjoon (leader of the Korean group BTS), particularly the track "Wildflowers" 들꽃놀이. Through my pieces, I explore themes of freedom, personal growth, and resilience, which I perceived in this album and wanted to internalize in my own way.
To me, "Wildflowers" evokes wildflowers that grow freely, following their own natural path, often in unexpected places. This image reflects my desire to break free from societal expectations and pressures to live on my own terms and be myself. Wildflowers also symbolize strength and resilience, as they thrive in harsh conditions and unpredictable environments.

This Fleur Sauvage series represents an introspective journey where I explore my thoughts, emotions, and experiences. Even though the world may seem fast-paced and chaotic, I find it possible to discover beauty and calm by reconnecting with myself. I also wanted to capture the concept of the unique flower growing in a world where the crowd is suggested but never shown. For me, this evokes a sense of solitude within constant movement. Here, the wildflower symbolizes my desire to find my own path, to emerge despite challenges, and to seek authentic connections in a disorienting or impersonal environment.

The association of ideas between "Wildflowers" and Fleur Sauvage highlights, in my view, the power of nature and simple elements to tell profound stories. In both cases, these metaphors remind me of the importance of authenticity, self-connection, and the search for meaning in a world often filled with noise and distractions. My artistic approach emphasizes the capacity of nature to reflect our own struggles and triumphs and inspires me to embrace my own unique and resilient journey.
